Tri-County Rehabilitation Services, located in a brand new area of Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, offers total therapy services.  Licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as therapy assistants, work hard to get you back on your feet after surgery, injury or illness.  Whether you’re commuting from home as an outpatient, needing a short-term stay or long-term care from Pinecrest, Tri-County Rehabilitation Services can help.

Physical, occupational or speech therapy can aid in the treatment of arthritis, multiple sclerosis, joint replacement surgery, athletic injury, stroke, chronic illness, orthopedic injury, muscular injury, amputation, neurological disorders and other disabling conditions.

The therapists at Tri-County Rehabilitation Services will work with your physician to create an individual plan that bests suits your needs.

Physical Therapy can help those with balance problems, lack or coordination, weakness, or recovery from injury, surgery, a stroke or other illness. Exercises, new movement techniques, strategies and equipment are used by physical therapists to restore or increase strength, range of motion, flexibility, coordination, end endurance, as well as reduce pain in patients.

Occupational Therapy helps people relearn many of the “ordinary” daily living skills lost due to stroke, injury or other trauma. Through occupational therapy, better techniques for eating, dressing and grooming are learned. Specialized activities and exercises are designed with the patient in mind, restoring lost motion and strength in the arms.

Speech Therapy works with people who have difficulty with communication, cognition, hearing or swallowing which is typically generated from insult to the brain. Injury can be from head trauma, stroke, brain tumor or dementia. Speech therapists help individuals by providing education, training with compensatory strategies, therapeutic activities and appropriate exercises to maximize the individual’s performance.

We also offer Restorative Therapy. One of the only programs in our area, Restorative Therapy is for Pinecrest residents who have completed their initial therapy program and have since stabilized. Our therapy aides work with residents to maintain strength in arms and legs, coordination, balance, sitting and walking. Over half of our residents are involved in the restorative therapy program and their progress is continually evaluated throughout their participation.

Qualified to accept Medicare, Medicaid and private pay, we can help by billing all insurance directly for your therapy. Please call Tri-County Rehabilitation Services at (906) 497-2120 for more information about our rehabilitation services or for an evaluation.
